November 2007
To My Friends and Neighbors:
On November 7 you reelected me your Town Supervisor and voted for my entire team by large margins. Thank you for your continued confidence in me and my administration.
Here are the results as posted on the Town webpage:
Becky Kittredge, Mike Schiliro and I ran as a team with a shared goal of working for the best interests of the entire Town. Although unopposed for reelection, Town Clerk Ann Leber joined us and generously gave us her time, encouragement and sound advice. We were helped immeasurably by a large and energetic group of volunteers.
We ran an issues oriented campaign with emphasis on the non-partisan concerns I have addressed since I first ran for Town office:
•controlled sustainable development with protection of the environment, our open spaces and our drinking water
•open government and improved communications with all our residents
•long range planning for Town finances and capital improvements
These are not issues of any particular political party. They are Town issues, and our supporters came from every party as well as from unaffiliated voters.
I am very pleased that we were able to turn out strong support for our new County Legislator, John Nonna. I campaigned hard for John and know he will be an important friend of North Castle in the County Government.
Finally, I extend my sincere congratulations to our very fine Town Justice, Elyse Lazansky, who was reelected without opposition.
I look forward to continuing to collaborate and work with everyone in our Town government for the benefit of all our residents, and I thank everyone who voted, whether for us or against us, for your interest in your Town.
THANK YOU NORTH CASTLE; THE 2007 ELECTIONS
